Five reasons to be a Puppy Socialiser

Give something back

Our veterans have given much in working to maintain our freedoms and volunteering for Bravehound provides the opportunity to give something back to them in return.

Play a vital role as a volunteer

Our volunteers provide a vital role in helping Bravehound deliver a service to veterans in Scotland. Without Puppy Socialisers we are limited in the number of dogs we can train and match with veterans.

Support a veteran

Puppy Socialisers do a very import job for Bravehound. By giving our puppies a good start in life they set them up to help their veterans with comfort and confidence and emotional support.

Raise a BRAVEHOUND super dog

A well balanced, healthy, resilient Bravehound puppy is what we need to support veterans. You can shape the future of one of our puppies by becoming a Puppy Socialiser.

Transform a life

Our veterans often say that their Bravehound saved their life, gives them a reason to get up in the morning and gets them out and about. Our Bravehound Puppy Socialisers help to make that happen by preparing the puppy for this important role.

Puppy Socialiser Application Form →

The role of a Puppy Socialiser can often be much more involved than applicants expect. The following questions are designed to help you decide if the role is right for you and would fit with your lifestyle, as well as assisting us in the processing of your application.

Feeding, training and generally caring for a puppy\’s needs on a daily basis is time consuming and, particularly when very young, they cannot be left on their own for extended periods of time. Our general guideline is 3 hours maximum in the early days.

In order for applications to be processed, each applicant is required to provide details of two character referees. Your referees must have known you for the past two years, not be a relative and not stay at the same address as you.

Please add details of your referees below and ensure you have their permission to use them:

We will use the personal information collected on this form to process your application and to communicate with you about volunteering. To help us minimise our costs and receive these communications by E-Mail please tick the box below:
