The programme will mobilise the business community to drive practical, cultural and behavioural change within sectors, ensuring they become more ‘veteran friendly’, while also creating tailored pathways for veterans into positions of employment.

Three complex workstreams will be supported over the next three years:

• Sector Initiatives, delivered by Mission Community, sees work with trade bodies and companies to make the commercial and social value case for Armed Forces community engagement, empowering them as champions for that cause.

• Employment Pathways, delivered by the Forces Employment Charity will engage employers within nationally significant sectors to establish military pathways, connecting employers with veterans and supporting their recruitment, retention, progression and tracking of talent from the military community.

• Career Development Fund, focused on specialist areas of support.
